Pocomoke City Mayor Todd Nock has been sworn in as the 82nd President of the Maryland Municipal League (MML), becoming the youngest known leader in the organization’s history.

The milestone was celebrated during MML’s Annual Summer Conference in Ocean City. Representing 157 municipalities and two special taxing districts, MML advocates for local governments across the state.

Mayor Nock, who has led Pocomoke since 2023, unveiled a “Back to the Future” theme for his presidency, focused on mentoring young leaders and amplifying the voices of small towns.

He also thanked outgoing MML President Michael O’Connor, Mayor of Frederick, and welcomed Bladensburg Mayor Takisha James as President-Elect.
