Pocomoke High Cadet Earns National Marine Corps Honor

Pocomoke High School Cadet Captain Curtis Broadwater Jr. has been awarded the Marine Corps Legion of Valor Bronze Cross for Achievement, the highest individual honor in the MCJROTC program.

Established in 1951, the award recognizes one cadet from each MCJROTC region who has completed their junior year and demonstrated exceptional leadership and academic excellence.

Broadwater is the first Pocomoke High School cadet to receive the national honor. Worcester County Public Schools said his achievement “reflects not only his personal excellence but also the strength and dedication of the Pocomoke High School MCJROTC program,” which also earned Naval Honor School Distinction this year.
