In a public announcement, the department stated, “The Pocomoke City Police Department is proud to announce we have officially released our App on all mobile stores and updated our website.”

Real-Time Information and Public Safety Tools

According to the department, the app provides residents with direct access to real-time updates and key resources.

“From our app you will be able to receive real time information for major incidents which occur in the city,” the department said.

The department also highlighted several additional features available through the platform, including:

  • National Weather Service alerts
  • Access to the sex offender registry
  • VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday) resources
  • A page to assist in identifying suspects in local crimes
  • News, updates, and information accessible on both the app and website

“All of this information will be available both on our app and website,” the department added.

Residents are encouraged to download the app, with the department stating, “Download today to stay informed!”

City Support for Communication Improvements

Mayor Todd Nock briefly addressed the launch in a separate post, describing it as part of an effort to improve communication and access to information for residents.

“This is about communication, transparency, and keeping our people informed,” Nock said.

The app and website are now available to the public through major mobile app stores.
